Family support in the first days
When a family loses someone to suicide, we cover the costs that land first, including funeral and burial expenses and travel so relatives can be together.
In memory of Cory Lee Campbell
Need help now? Call or text 988The Cory Lee Campbell Foundation stands with families who lose someone to suicide. We cover what comes first, fund the care that comes after, and open doors for the children left behind. We also work to make aviation a place where asking for help is safe.
Why we exist
Every loss leaves a wake. When someone dies by suicide, grief arrives with a second blow. Many of the people we have lost were the ones holding their families up.
Often the main paycheck, gone overnight.
Health insurance that ended with the job it came from.
College savings and long-term plans redirected to getting through the month.
Kids who lose a parent to suicide face a higher risk of mental health struggles of their own.
We exist to carry some of that weight, so families can grieve without also losing their footing.
From our founder
“I have lost more than five close friends to suicide. Each one left people behind who had to keep going without them, often without the paycheck, the insurance or the plans they had built together. This foundation carries Cory's name, and it exists for every family that comes after.”
Programs
Tracked the way a controller tracks traffic: one strip per program, with who it serves and what we aim to deliver in our first year.
When a family loses someone to suicide, we cover the costs that land first, including funeral and burial expenses and travel so relatives can be together.
We partner with licensed mental health providers so bereaved families can reach grief and trauma counseling quickly, and we help pay for it.
Awards toward college, trade school and flight training. Aviation is a priority, and the student's own passion is the rule.
Free introductory flights with volunteer pilots and partner flight schools, for kids from the families we serve and the communities around them.
Talks, peer resources and outreach for pilots, controllers, technicians and dispatchers, built with the people who do the work.
Education and advocacy for medical certification standards that let aviation safety professionals, in the US and abroad, get treatment without fearing for their careers.
Global reach
Pilots, controllers, technicians and dispatchers carry the same pressures in every country. Our long-term plan is a network of aviation partners and peer programs worldwide, starting from home in North Texas.
